In English today, we continued with our poetry work. We are looking at poetry by Valerie Bloom. Today’s lesson focused on rhyming and rhythm, we practised and performed a selection of poems to the class thinking about how we can use our voice, add rhythm or actions to the performance.
This week, we identified some of the challenges faced by people of the Caribbean when they came to settle in Britain. We designed a poster to advertise if we had a room to let, it was important that these reflected todays multicultural Britain.
This week as part of our Black History learning, we used P4C to develop a question and respond to others ideas and opinions.

We began this week by looking at photographs and images to gather some clues about the past.
For each image, we thought about what we can see and how it makes us feel. There were some interesting questions raised during our discussion.
